October is observed as the Breast Cancer Awareness month all over the world. With the biggest brands and companies playing a role to spread awareness regarding breast cancer Ufone too has played its part in drawing attention towards breast cancer and how early detection of the disease and increase the chances of survival.

To further their efforts the Ufone tower in the capital city has been brightly lit with the color pink to show solidarity towards breast cancer and to raise awareness regarding the disease. It has been reported that breast cancer is one of the major causes of death among women all over the world. Whereas, Pakistan has the highest number of patients diagnosed with breast cancer in Asia. Due to late detection over 0.5 million women die every year due to this disease.
To support the cause, the Ufone tower will stay lit up pink for the entire month of October. The awareness programs are also carried out every year so that people let go of the stigma that is attached to this disease and encourage people to do self-examination for an early diagnosis.
