On November 16, Meta Platforms (META.O) unveiled two innovative AI-driven features for video editing, designed for seamless posting on Instagram or Facebook.
The initial feature, Emu Video, produces concise four-second videos accompanied by a caption, photo, or image, along with a description. Meanwhile, Emu Edit empowers users to effortlessly modify or edit videos with the assistance of text prompts.
These tools represent a progression from the parent model, Emu, which originally generated images in response to text prompts.
Emu serves as the foundation for a generative AI technology and various AI image editing tools tailored for Instagram. This technology enables users to capture a photo and modify its visual style or background.
Over the past year, businesses and enterprises have increasingly embraced the emerging generative AI market, seeking enhanced capabilities and streamlined business processes since the introduction of OpenAI’s ChatGPT late last year.
In the realm of artificial intelligence, the social media giant has made remarkable advancements, emerging as a focal point for innovation. It aims to compete with other industry giants such as Microsoft (MSFT.O), Alphabet’s Google (GOOGL.O), and Amazon (AMZN.O).
