    Zoom only allows 40-minute meetings

According to a support website from the firm, “On July 15, 2022, Zoom is reducing the meeting time restriction for 1:1 meetings hosted by Basic (free) users on premium accounts to 40 minutes.”

With this modification, all meetings hosted by Basic (free) users across all account categories will have a standard 40-minute time restriction. Personal Meeting Zoom Rooms, group meetings, and 1:1 meetings are all included in this.

People used virtual meeting tools to see and speak to one other while the coronavirus epidemic put civilization into lockdown mode. People use these platforms to communicate with friends and family, businesses use them to conduct meetings. And educational institutions use them to conduct lessons. These goods are still in high demand since many firms have subsequently switched to a hybrid work environment.

Microsoft Teams, Skype, Webex, Google Match, and GoTo Meeting are just a few of the virtual meeting technologies. That has attempted to meet the need. However, Zoom has been one of the primary players with a dominant market share. And a consistent increase in sales over the past several years.

But for the business to go further, it has to increase income, which calls for more paid memberships. Zoom’s chief financial officer Kelly Steckelberg stated in May that the business anticipated that income from enterprise clients will make up an increasing portion of total revenue.

A meeting may go on for up to 30 hours with a subscription plan, so attendees won’t have to worry about finishing early. A Pro plan costs $14.99 per month or $149.90 per year per user. A Business plan costs $19.99 per month or $199.90 per year per user. A Business Plus plan costs $25 per month or $250 per year per user. There are also specialized business plans available.
