SAP, a global leader in enterprise software, hosted its SAP Innovation Day, centered on the theme “Better Business Transformation with SAP Business AI.” The event highlighted how cutting-edge technology and future-driven insights align with Pakistan’s ambitious growth goals.
SAP Innovation Day emphasized the transformative role of AI in business, gathering top industry leaders, thought leaders, and professionals from various sectors. This collaborative platform fostered the exchange of valuable insights, best practices, and success stories on AI-enabled business transformations.
A highlight of the event was a prerecorded talk by Syed Babar Ali, philanthropist and founder of Packages Limited and LUMS. Reflecting on technology’s impact in business, he noted, “Technology enables managers to make better, data-driven decisions. SAP understands business needs economically, making SAP systems a fraction of the investment compared to the profits gained through proper use of technology.”
Saquib Ahmad, Country Managing Director for SAP Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq & Bahrain, focused on AI’s transformative influence on business, stating, “AI is changing how businesses use data, shifting from looking at the past to predicting the future, helping companies stay competitive. AI simplifies complex decision-making, and SAP is committed to bringing AI to the forefront of enterprise tech to optimize operations, improve customer experiences, and accelerate innovation.” He emphasized that AI is not about replacing jobs but about enabling people to perform better. “By integrating AI into our solutions, we allow users to focus on strategic tasks while AI handles routine work,” he added.
Executives from SAP clients, including K-Electric, MacPac, and Tapal Tea, shared how AI-powered operations helped them meet consumer demands more efficiently while reducing costs.
Senior SAP executives such as Stamatia Betsi, Climate Action & Sustainability Business Development Expert for EMEA, and Mayar Salti, Public Cloud ERP Lead for MEA North, along with other key leaders, discussed AI-driven digitalization and its potential to shape the future of business.
