Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugarated the Special Technology Zone, Lahore Technopolis, in Lahore today. The technology zone has been constructed under the Lahore Knowledge Park Company. A huge investment has been made in this particular Technology Zone to boost the exports of the country.

During the event, 12 companies were issued licenses and will be allowed to work in the Special Technology Zone. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also be signed of three hundred million dollars which will enable the construction of three economic zones in different parts of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister will also be chairing other meetings in Lahore during his visit. He will also be inaugurating the Government College University New Campus and Abdul Hassan Ash Shadhili Research Center in Sufism Science and Technology.

Last month the Chairman STZA, Amer Hashmi briefed the PM regarding the progress of STZA vis-à-vis Islamabad Technopolis. He also notified him about the interest of national and international companies in investing in Pakistan, and the signing of MoUs in Expo 2020 Dubai.
