How do you see the Industry-Academia gap?
This is a question very close to my heart. There is little to no connection between academia and industry. A mere six-week internship or some final-year project sponsorship is not enough. Undergraduate degree programs are four years long, but the current engagements are limited to only the last few months. A tree is strong when you nurture it from the moment you plant the seed. If that’s the case, how can we expect different results here? I believe there is an opportunity to start the engagement from day one of the program itself, whether it’s through input in the course outline, mentoring/counseling sessions, or industry visits. I would recommend adding a portion of the grade based on contribution and engagement with the industry to align students’ KPIs and priorities.

Does ERP implementation come into digitizing?
They absolutely do, now more than ever. This is because ERP has become smart. It is adapting to all the latest tech trends, including low-code/no-code, modularization, AI, RPA bots, and predictive analytics, all powered by the cloud. A good ERP provides agility to the business and unlocks insights for better decision-making. Modern ERP offers a conducive platform for value-added services that are tailored and contextualized.
