Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and Mashreq Pakistan, a subsidiary of the leading financial institution in the MENA region, Mashreq, have signed an agreement to provide primary data center colocation services at PTCL’s Tier-III Data Center facility.
At the special ceremony at PTCL Data Center II in Karachi, Mohamed Abdel Razek, Group Head of Technology, Transformation, and Information at Mashreq, Muhammad Hamayun Sajjad, CEO of Mashreq Pakistan, Umar Farooqi, Group Director Enterprise at PTCL, Mashreq Pakistan’s Chief Information Officer Khurram Abid, and PTCL’s Group Chief Business Services Officer Zarrar Hasham Khan signed the agreement.
PTCL will deliver its cutting-edge infrastructure and platform solutions, featuring the latest technology and managed security, to Mashreq Pakistan. While, Mashreq is working towards acquiring a restricted license from the State Bank of Pakistan to launch pilot digital retail banking operations in the country.
