Karachi: In a bold step to strengthen home remittance services across Pakistan, JS Bank and BankIslami have announced a strategic partnership to enhance secure and accessible remittance payouts nationwide. By combining their extensive retail networks and expertise, both banks aim to simplify and secure the process for remittance beneficiaries throughout Pakistan.

Through this partnership, JS Bank will leverage BankIslami’s broad branch network to ensure swift and reliable remittance services across urban and rural areas alike. To guarantee a seamless experience, JS Bank will equip BankIslami with specialized training and technical resources, providing beneficiaries with consistent, secure access to their funds. Enhanced security measures will be implemented at every stage of the payout process to protect transactions.
Collaboration to Drive Financial Inclusion
At the signing ceremony in Karachi, key leaders from both banks, including Imran Shaikh, Deputy CEO of BankIslami, and Atif Malik, Chief Operating Officer of JS Bank, highlighted the benefits of this collaboration. With over 780 branches between them, the partnership promises beneficiaries a reliable and convenient remittance service, especially for those receiving funds from overseas.
Syed Jafar Raza, Group Head of Investment, International & Transaction Banking at JS Bank, emphasized the critical role of remittances in Pakistan’s economy. “Our partnership with BankIslami allows us to expand access to essential funds, benefiting recipients nationwide. With more than $18 billion in remittances received between January and August 2024 alone, we are dedicated to making payouts as convenient, secure, and efficient as possible.”
