In a significant leadership change at SadaPay, Brandon Timinsky has announced his resignation as CEO after nearly six years of spearheading the company’s growth. Driven by personal reasons and a need to prioritize his well-being, Timinsky made this decision following a period of intense dedication to establishing SadaPay as Pakistan’s leading fintech firm.
During Timinsky’s tenure, SadaPay achieved remarkable milestones. From its inception, he played a pivotal role in the company’s success, transforming the teal debit card into a widely recognized symbol and making “SadaPay” a household name. His efforts significantly reshaped Pakistan’s fintech landscape.
With Timinsky stepping down, Omer Salimullah will take over as Acting CEO. Salimullah brings over 24 years of experience in the banking and fintech industry and has been with SadaPay since its early days. Previously serving as Chief Operating Officer, Salimullah’s extensive background includes roles at ABN AMRO Bank, Meezan Bank, and JS Bank. His deep understanding of Pakistani fintech and strong commitment to brand building will be crucial as he leads SadaPay forward.
Reflecting on his journey, Timinsky expressed pride in the team’s achievements and gratitude for the support from Pakistan’s regulatory bodies, particularly the State Bank of Pakistan. He highlighted the rapid progress in digital financial services since his arrival in Islamabad in 2018. With Papara’s recent acquisition of SadaPay, Timinsky is optimistic about the company’s future. Papara, a prominent neobank, brings industry expertise, technological superiority, and financial backing, promising to elevate SadaPay to new heights.
