To commemorate the International Day of Sign Languages, Deaf Reach and TDF’s MagnifiScience Center worked with Bank Alfalah, a prominent commercial bank in Pakistan.
The Bank wanted to promote inclusivity and communication while highlighting the importance of Sign Language Day. Also to promote the rights of the community of hearing-impaired people. This was done to demonstrate the Bank’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
As declared by the UN General Assembly, the International Day of Sign Languages. It offers a special chance to support and to preserve the cultural diversity. Also to preserve the linguistic identity of all people with hearing impairments and other sign language users.
In Pakistan, there are more than a million deaf children who are old enough to attend school, yet less than 5% of them do.
Deaf Reach has served as a symbol of light for the Deaf population by offering a complete solution that includes education and skill development.

Since 2012, Bank Alfalah has proudly donated more than PKR 15 million to Deaf Reach. In addition, this partnership is an important milestone in pursuing their common purpose.
The Deaf Reach School kids went on a special field trip to the TDF MagnifiScience Center thanks to Bank Alfalah. Students could explore and learn in an active, hands-on setting thanks to this educational tour.
Additionally, during numerous activities at TDF’s MagnifiScience Centre, the management, employees engaed with students. Also, the leadership of Bank Alfalah actively engaged with the students and spent time with them. All parties involved had a touching and lasting experience as a result of this engagement. This reaffirmed the Bank’s dedication to promoting inclusivity and communication.

In order to provide a significant and enjoyable experience for all attendees, the day was advertised as being filled with educational and entertaining activities. It also encouraged active involvement, inquiries, and important conversations toward a future that is more inclusive.
