The two industry leaders, Habib Bank Limited and Pakistan International Airlines have signed a partnership that would help provide discounted rates exclusively to their customers. HBL Debit and Credit Cardholders can now enjoy discounts on both international and domestic flights on PIA. The partnership agreement was signed between the two companies in the presence of prominent people from both parties.

Air Marshal Arshad Malik, Chief Executive Officer signed the agreement on behalf of PIA. Whereas, Muhammad Aurangzeb, President & CEO – HBL represented HBL at the ceremony. Other senior members from HBL and PIA were also present at the ceremony. The alliance will help promote PIA’s vision of promoting tourism in Pakistan. With HBL on board, the national flag carrier has the company with the largest number of credit card holders under its wing. All bookings can be easily made through PIA offices as well as PIA’s online booking platform.
HBL and PIA have been part of multiple projects in the past as well. Air Marshal Arshad Malik spoke at the ceremony congratulating both the parties involved,
“PIA is following a comprehensive restructuring plan to turnaround the stature of the national flag carrier. We are en route to resurgence despite the recent challenges, and this is only possible with an enhanced focus on partnerships and alliances with organizations like HBL.”
He also added that PIA and HBL have been partners for a long time and this is a great opportunity to promote tourism in Pakistan. Muhammad Aurangzeb, President & CEO – HBL, also expressed his views saying,
“We are delighted to have entered into this strategic partnership with PIA. HBL has long-standing relationship with PIA. This alliance will make travel more rewarding for our customers and it is another step towards HBL’s commitment to support the national agenda to promote travel and tourism across Pakistan.”
