Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, has partnered with Careem, the first ride-hailing company in Pakistan, to provide Captains in that country with digital payment options.
Through this collaboration, Zindigi and Careem will provide co-branded debit cards to Careem Captains. These cards can be used to access ATMs and POS terminals nationwide for quicker daily payouts and fund withdrawals.
With the help of the Zindigi App, this partnership aims to give Careem Captains the financial independence to instantly access their Careem earnings. Additionally, captains will have access to the entire Zindigi App feature set. Including the ability to pay utility bills and top up their mobile phones.
Additionally, through mutual funds, stock trading, and financing options, Careem Captains will be given an introduction to wealth management.
Senior representatives from the two organizations, including Noman Azhar, Chief Officer of Zindigi, Meena Munawar Khan, Head of Products, Feroz Jaleel, Country General Manager of Careem Pakistan, and Noman Khurshid, General Manager of Careem Pay, signed the agreement at the Careem headquarters in Karachi.
“Zindigi is all about listening to clients and giving them experiences that make their life easier,” Noman Azhar remarked. Through this agreement, cash flow problems will be resolved. And Careem Captains will have numerous options to better their daily life.
The ultimate goal, he continued, is to improve the entire ecosystem. “A better digital experience for Careem captains would assure a higher degree of acceptability of Digital payments,” he said.
Noman Khurshid, general manager of Careem Pay, stated during the signing ceremony that “our objective is to simplify and improve people’s lives, particularly our Captains.”
“We have undertaken a number of measures, including this collaboration, to encourage Captains to accept digital payments from our consumers. Moreover, this action will broaden the adoption of electronic payments and ultimately enhance customer satisfaction, the executive continued.
Both Careem and Zindigi will implement the process of giving the Captains their debit cards during the pilot phase of this initiative. While instructing them on how to use them properly.
Furthermore, the use of the digital payment method by Captains will be improved through the addition of more features. That utilize debit cards and the provision of extra services.
