In an announcement made this year, TikTok revealed that it would discontinue its $1 billion creator fund for content creators in the US, UK, Germany, and France, with the exception of Italy and Spain. This fund, initially launched in 2020, was designed to distribute $1 billion over a span of three years. However, many creators found the payouts to be significantly lower than expected, especially for content with millions of views.
The company has not confirmed whether it fulfilled its commitment to pay out the entire $1 billion to creators. This year, TikTok introduced a new monetization approach known as the Creativity Program, aimed at offering creators higher payouts.
