Calico by Alkaram brought Pakistan’s two leading stylists under one roof, Alishay Adnan and Mehek Saeed, in a friendly styling contest.

With three influencers in each stylist’s team, the two were given a brief to decide whether hair, makeup, shoes, and accessories be best paired with Calico’s latest Winter Pret’22 collection.

The influencers in Alishay’s team were Sona Rafiq, Anjiya Mithani and Faiza Lakhani. Team Mehek consisted of Hunaina Rasool, Anushe Khalid and Ayla Adnan.

Judged by the media and the fashion fraternity in attendance, the anonymity of the stylists’ teams was maintained till the end.

    Team Alishay won the competition.

The event was managed by Catwalk events with Toni & Guy as the official backstage partner for hair and makeup, and Talking Point as the PR partner.

The objective of the campaign was to drive awareness towards the “Calico” brand and give it an identity of its own. The show was brought to the shop as was hosted at the Com3 store in Karachi.

As Teams Mehek and Alishey walked down the ramp that circled around a pillar, their audience studiously recorded points on pieces of paper to measure how one stylist did against the other.

Though both Saeed and Adnan are great at their jobs, their styles are markedly different.

Mehek Saeed tends to block elements up against each other to create a look, while Alishay Adnan’s style is on the tailored side of feminine, every ‘fit finished with delicate, blink-and-you-might-miss-them details that pull an entire look together.
