Just this Friday, Musk announced that Twitter will partake in a 10% cut after the first year of subscriptions, which would include long-form text and hours-long video.
Twitter’s CEO has been striving to bring revenue into the social media company with new strategies, especially after it experienced a drop in its advertising income last year. The company’s workforce has also significantly reduced from 7,500 to 1,500, The Guardian reported.
Twitter has also repeatedly warned about monitoring digital platforms, with breaches risking a fine of 6% of global turnover and even a suspension of the service.
Twitter, Inc., was an American social media company based in San Francisco, California. The company operated the social networking service Twitter and previously the Vine short video app and Periscope live streaming service.
