How do you see technology is changing our Lives?
Technology has been always the revolutionary agent in changing lives. Moreover now after COVID in the new normal.
– Student’s taking class from home via Google classroom.
– Online shopping and online payment transactions without leaving your sofa at home.
– Employees working from home instead of going to offices.
– E-commerce platforms and digital marketing: Excellent services delivered without visiting the outlets.
– Internet of Things (IoT) and robotics leading smart factories and efficient production processes.
– Realtime inventory management and monitoring via RFID’s. – GPS guided tracking and monitoring, like your Foodpanda orders, Google Navigation I use daily, Car rides. – Telehealth initiative enabling remote patient monitoring and diagnosis, Karachi surgeon helping Bamyan, Afghanistan in a surgery and teaching with only a working internet connection.
– Data driven decisions by use of data analytics to tailor your product and marketing segment wise deliveries.
– Entertainment, telepresence via Meta Oculus.
– Above are a few of the examples by which we can see how technology has transformed our lives during the last few years. Apart from various benefits which we have got from energy.
– Digital addiction and erosion of face-to-face social interaction; extensive use of smartphones and other multi-media devices is leading to decrease in communications, family and friend time.
– Loss of physical activities leads to mental and physical health issues.
– Overreliance and dependency on technology for simple tasks like calculation and navigation is creating extra reliance on technology and hindering decision making and basic skills of humans.
– Information bombardment over the social media platforms is also leading to false or misleading information on the internet which creates confusion, distrust, and harm.
– Data Privacy and Cybersecurity; cyber threats. Data breaches, hacking, and online fraud pose risks to personal and financial security.
Does ERP implementations come into digitizing?
Yes, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation provides the platform for digitization. ERP systems are software platforms that integrate various business processes and functions across an organization. Such as finance, human resources, supply chain management, inventory, manufacturing, and customer relationship management.
The primary goal of ERP systems is to streamline operations, improve data accuracy, enhance decision-making. Also, to facilitate better communication and collaboration among different departments.
Here I would share my personnel experiences for an ERP implementation in which the ERP System was rolled out to centralize the processes of five different countries. Around 40% of the time is utilized in understanding the current business processes, streamlining and standardizing them to fit in to ERP functionalities while the rest of time is utilized for system configurations, data migration, testing and roll-out.
ERP provides the best business practices which are being widely used in the same business areas around the world and provides the chance to the organizations to use the same.
The critical success factor for any ERP roll out is to use the flows/processes of ERP without doing any customizations in ERP. However, must have requirements regulatory/statuary cab be catered through plug-ins and bolt-ons.
ERP provides a way to integrate the departments who are working in silos and avoids replication of data and work force. This foster data-driven decisions and ensures that digital data is consistently captured. This integration enhances the digital ecosystem within an organization. ERPs also has the built-in integration’s available with e-commerce platform, CRM’s and many more.
In summary, ERP implementation is a critical component of an organization’s digitization strategy. Moreover, it enables businesses to move away from manual, paper-based processes. Also, it toward a more streamlined, data-driven, and digitally integrated environment.
In addition, the degree to which ERP contributes to an organization’s digitization efforts can vary based on the specific system and how it’s implemented and integrated within the organization.

As an IT professional, I find inspiration in many aspects of my work. Firstly, the rapid pace of technological advancements and the ever-evolving nature of the industry inspire me.
In addition, it’s a field where there is always something new to learn. In addition, I’m motivated by the opportunity to continually expand my knowledge. Also, I stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations.
Secondly, I’m inspired by problem-solving and the ability to address complex challenges through technology. Whether it’s developing a more efficient system, troubleshooting a critical issue. Furthermore, architecting a solution to meet a specific business need, I thrive on finding creative and practical ways to overcome obstacles.
Furthermore, I’m inspired by the impact of technology on people’s lives. The ability to create software or systems, processes that improve the way people work, communicate, or access information is deeply satisfying. Knowing that my work can have a positive influence on individuals, businesses and society as whole is a driving force for me.
Furthermore, collaboration and teamwork also serve as a source of inspiration. I enjoy working with diverse teams, each member contributing their unique skills and perspectives. Together, we can achieve great results and deliver high-quality solutions.
