Abbott and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) joined together to raise awareness of the problems of malnutrition to educate people on how healthy nutrition may support childhood growth.

On PIA domestic flights, passengers will receive information on how to identify and deal with fussy eating behavior. As well as suggestions for getting youngsters involved in the kitchen. Board games, coloring pages, and puzzles will also be available to keep kids occupied during the journey.

Particularly throughout the early, formative years of their lives, children require nutrient-rich diets for healthy growth and development.

Long-term selective eating in children can prevent them from receiving a complete and balanced diet. Which can cause major health problems such as malnutrition, immunological deficiencies, deteriorated bone health, stunting, and decreased muscle mass. Which can have long-term effects from bad health outcomes.

As about 60% of adult height is accomplished by the age of five. Growth problems in the first five years may hinder a child’s development and reduce future potential. For all children to develop and live their best lives, parents and other adults should place a high focus on ensuring that they receive the nutrition they need for healthy growth and development.

Moreover, Asim Shafiq, general manager of Abbott’s nutrition business in Pakistan and Iraq, said, “We are extremely glad to cooperate with our national carrier, PIA, on this effort and raise awareness of the need for good nutrition for infant growth.”
