The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) has announced that Pakistan’s new Multi Mission Communication Satellite, known as PAKSAT MM1, will be launched on May 30, 2024, at the XiChang Satellite Launch Centre (XSLC) in China.
Part of Pakistan’s ambitious National Space Program 2047, PAKSAT MM1 has been developed through a collaborative effort between Suparco and the Chinese aerospace industry.
This satellite aims to enhance Pakistan’s communication and connectivity infrastructure, utilizing advanced communication technologies to support various services. By doing so, it will contribute significantly to the nation’s socio-economic development and its transformation into a Digital Pakistan.
PAKSAT MM1 is expected to improve telecommunication, broadcasting, and internet services across the country.
