A “Tech Destination Pakistan” pavilion will be built up at the “AI & Big Data Expo Europe” at RAI, Amsterdam on September 26–27, 2023, with assistance from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
According to a news statement from the Pakistani embassy in The Hague, Netherlands, on Saturday, IT firms from Pakistan, including Abacus Consulting. Furthermore, Royal Cyber, Brickclays, Xynotech, Coeus Solutions, Digifloat, Grayphite attended the Expo. Also NN Software, and Reach the Globe, displayed their services and goods at the Expo.
Ambassador Suljuk Mustansar Tarar went to the Expo on the first day and talked with Pakistani exhibitors. Opportunities in Pakistan’s IT Sector were discussed in a presentation by Fatima Asad, Chief Executive Officer of Abacus Consulting.
She portrayed Pakistan as a developing market with enormous potential for sourcing services as well as a highly favorable place for investment. Ambassador Suljuk praised the efforts made by Pakistani exhibitors to showcase their expertise and talent in the IT industry.
A networking event was organized by the Pakistani Embassy in The Hague with participation from Pakistani exhibitors, academics, and MNC employees with Dutch headquarters. A summary of the steps the Embassy has done to encourage the export of IT services was provided by Ambassador Suljuk.
A group of IT companies was scheduled to visit by the Embassy in May 2023. The visiting delegates were pleased with Pakistan’s business environment. SeQuenX CEO, Shurjeel Tousif, established a software development center in Islamabad. It was establoshed with Embassy’s help during his Pakistan trip.
This is consistent with the plan to create a software technology corridor between Pakistan and the Netherlands. SeQuenX also entered into an MoU with COMSATS Global to further bolster this.
Moreover, the accommodations made by the Embassy received great praise from Pakistani exhibitors. They have also expressed hope about expanding IT service exports. Fatima Asad-Saeed applauded the government of Pakistan’s choice to participate in this Expo. As well as the Embassy’s efforts to support attendees and encourage networking with Dutch businesses.
The tech industries in the Netherlands have a lot of promise, according to Mustafa of Royal Cyber, and Pakistani businesses may suitably fill their needs.
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which the Pakistani government recently established. It has listed information technology as one of its priority industries for investment, according to Ambassador Suljuk. He congratulated the participants and acknowledged PSEB and TDAP’s efforts. Furthermore, he urged Dutch companies to look at potential markets in Pakistan.
