By working with iConsult, the UNDP, and receiving funding from USAID, Mobilink Bank is executing a social effort to improve the financial literacy of 3,000 people, 1500 of whom are women.

By giving the local populations in Nowshehra, Charsadda, DI Khan, and Khyber districts the knowledge and skills they need to manage their finances wisely. The programme will enable them to take charge of their own destiny.

Mobilink Bank will provide specialised financial solutions, Fori Cash and Fori Cash Plus Loan, to credit-worthy people. Also extend help to qualified women, enabling them to realise their entrepreneurial aspirations.

The Bank will also offer subsidised options via the Bint-e-Hawwa Loan to further support and encourage the success of female businesses.

The bank’s field team will also help the participants set up their digital accounts through a seamless onboarding on the DOST App in addition to educating them about the benefits of digital banking.

Mobilink Bank will also grant 30 qualified women around the country access to a unique two-month internship programme as part of its campaign for advancing equal opportunity.

The VEON company, a multinational digital operator that offers integrated connectivity and online services in seven nations, including Mobilink Bank. In line with its digital operator strategy, VEON is improving people’s lives by expanding chances for digital inclusion and fostering economic development in nations with a population of more than 8% of the global total.

The road to opening up prospects, according to Mobilink Bank President and CEO Ghazanfar Azzam, is to improve financial literacy. “By empowering 3,000 people with financial literacy, Mobilink Bank is not only encouraging their independence but also sparking a powerful transformation that will reverberate through next generations,” he said.

“Embedded in our company’s philosophy is an unwavering devotion to empowering marginalised communities, such as the Khyber districts and other remote areas of Pakistan,” stated Najia Naqavi, Chief Service Quality at Mobilink Bank. Expanding access to financial and digital information is, in the opinion of Mobilink Bank, essential to establishing a financially equal environment.

The bank is dedicated to providing underserved groups, especially women, with the knowledge and resources they need to realise their full potential and support sustainable growth.

This programme seeks to build resilient communities that can pave the way for a more promising future in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in addition to encouraging economic inclusiveness.
