How do you see the youth of Pakistan?
The youth of Pakistan is brimming with potential, ambition, and creativity. They are eager to make their mark, but unfortunately, many lack the necessary opportunities and platforms to fully harness their talents. However, those who do get the chance excel in various fields, from technology and entrepreneurship to the arts. I believe the youth possess the drive and energy needed to reshape Pakistan’s future, but they require proper guidance and mentorship to navigate the challenges ahead.
How can we increase jobs?
To create more jobs, we need to focus on several key areas. First, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and startups can lead to significant job creation, not only for the founders but also for many others in supporting roles. Collaboration between the government and private sectors is essential to provide young entrepreneurs with access to funding and resources. Second, skill development programs are crucial. We must move beyond traditional education and equip people with skills that are in demand today, such as IT, digital marketing, and technical trades. Finally, policies that promote foreign investment and boost local industries can generate employment on a broader scale.
Why is our new talent not aligned with the current job scenario?
One of the main reasons new talent struggles to align with the job market is the disconnect between our education system and the needs of the modern workplace. Much of the curriculum is outdated and doesn’t reflect the demands of today’s rapidly evolving job landscape. Graduates often possess theoretical knowledge but lack the practical skills that employers seek. Additionally, there is a gap in essential soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are critical in most job roles. Bridging this gap requires a coordinated effort between educational institutions, industries, and government agencies to create a curriculum that better prepares students for real-world challenges.
