Jubilee Life Insurance, Pakistan’s largest private sector insurance company, hosted a fundraising dinner for the Enterprise Challenge Pakistan (ECP), a national entrepreneurship competition catering to students aged 14 to 18.
The event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including Her Excellency Ms. Sarah Mooney, the British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Will Straw, CEO of Prince’s Trust International, Mr. Syed Usman Qaiser, Head of Marketing and Brand Management at Jubilee Life Insurance, along with Ms. Shaista and Ms. Maha Salman from SEED Ventures, alongside representatives from various organizations. It took place at the British Deputy High Commission, Karachi.
The primary objective of the event was to garner support from diverse partners for the Enterprise Challenge Pakistan Programme. This initiative, a collaboration between Prince’s Trust International and SEED Ventures since 2016, aims to further its mission with the backing of interested stakeholders.
For the past five years, Jubilee Life has been a steadfast supporter of the programme, aiming to instill an entrepreneurial mindset and nurture young talent to become future job creators.
Over the past half-decade, the programme has actively involved more than 6,000 young individuals from over 200 schools nationwide, imparting vital skills such as confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, effective communication, and creative thinking.
The event not only highlighted the achievements made through the joint efforts of Jubilee Life and SEED Ventures but also underscored how a lasting partnership with Enterprise Challenge Pakistan aligns with the broader goal of addressing socio-economic challenges by empowering the youth and women of Pakistan.
Mr. Javed Ahmed, MD & CEO of Jubilee Life Insurance, emphasized the pivotal role that brands play in advancing the mission of nurturing young talent. He remarked, “Our five-year collaboration with Enterprise Challenge Pakistan underscores the immense potential we recognize in empowering the youth. Corporations can significantly contribute to shaping the future of our nation by investing in initiatives like Enterprise Challenge Pakistan, which provide the necessary tools and opportunities for young minds to make meaningful contributions to society.”
Shaista Ayesha, CEO of SEED Ventures, provided insights into the program’s perspective, noting, “Enterprise Challenge Pakistan transcends being merely a competition; it serves as a transformative journey empowering youth to become agents of change. Corporate support is vital to ensuring that this journey reaches more schools, including underprivileged girls, out-of-school children, and those with disabilities.”
Will Straw, CEO of Prince’s Trust International, stressed the significance of initiatives like Enterprise Challenge Pakistan, stating, “Enterprise Challenge is a global program that inspires the next generation of entrepreneurs while equipping them with essential skills such as confidence, communication, and teamwork. In Pakistan, we are proud of the program’s growth in supporting thousands of young people across all seven regions. We are immensely grateful to all our partners, including Jubilee Life Insurance, for their continuous support and eagerly anticipate collaborating further to enhance skills development for many more young people in the years ahead.”
Moreover, through this collaborative endeavor, Jubilee Life Insurance and SEED Ventures aspire to expand the reach of Enterprise Challenge Pakistan. Their goal is to impact 2,000 schools and engage 30,000 young individuals from underprivileged schools across Pakistan over the next five years.
