    HBL Partners with She Loves Tech to Fuel Women-Led Tech Innovations

    The successful She Loves IT Pakistan competition, now in its seventh year, is being organized by the top non-profit IT startup CIRCLE in partnership with HBL. With this victory, Sehrish Raza, founder and CEO of BizB, will be better positioned to represent Pakistan at the She Loves Tech finals in Singapore from October 25–28.

    She Loves Tech was introduced to Pakistan in 2017 by CIRCLE Women, an organization committed to promoting entrepreneurship. They are also promoting financial inclusion, and innovation among women there. She Loves Tech, a well-known platform with events in 70 countries.

    They are currently the largest competition for women and startups in the world. It offers vital chances for women working in technology to present ground-breaking ideas. It also make connections with business leaders, and gain helpful mentorship.

    Nine women-led tech startups from all over Pakistan were invited to the final round of the 2023 She Loves Tech Pakistan competition, which was held at the HBL Sky Tower Office in Karachi. These startups came from Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Gilgit, Multan, and Islamabad.

    Sehrish Raza won the competition and a sizeable cash award worth PKR 300,000 presented by “Glow & Lovely,” showcasing exceptional invention and entrepreneurship.

    Jamal Nasir, Chief Human Resources Officer at HBL, commented on the initiative, saying, “HBL is committed to creating a more inclusive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs in Pakistan. We think that women should be given equal opportunities to flourish because they have so much potential.”

    He furhter said, “Through this collaboration, we are encouraging women to use technology to achieve their goals. This is crucial for economic development. Additionally, it supports our mission of assisting women in gaining greater financial and technology literacy.”

    “With Pakistan being at the bottom fourth of the world’s gender gap ranking and only 1% women entrepreneurs in Pakistan, She Loves Tech is crucial,” stressed Sadaffe Abid, Founder and CEO of CIRCLE Women. When it comes to encouraging women and girls across the country to accept technology. And believe in themselves, Pakistan is at the forefront in doing so.

    Furthermore he stated, “CIRCLE traveled to rural areas of Pakistan this year with the assistance of our dependable partner HBL. Organizing local rounds in cities like Hyderabad, Multan, and Faisalabad, among other places. Also creating an environment to empower women and girls. We all succeed when women and girls do well.”

    The She Loves Tech Pakistan 2023 initiative promoted female entrepreneurship and empowerment by holding regional rounds in ten Pakistani cities. In partnership with HBL, CIRCLE Women is committed to enhancing She Loves Tech’s influence in Pakistan.

    They also are fostering an atmosphere that is encouraging for female-led enterprises. The mission of CIRCLE Women is to empower women across the country. Moreover help them to seize chances in the tech industry and to influence positive change.

    Distinguished guests at the event included Bakhtawar Kiyani, the first female Asian blind archer (World Games 2023) and Sarah Mooney, the British Deputy High Commissioner for Karachi were present.

    Furthermore renowned journalist Maria Memon; Shaista Ayesha, CEO of SEED Ventures were at the event. Also Abrar Mir, Chief Innovation & Financial Inclusion Officer of HBL attended the event. This celebration of innovation and female empowerment was greatly enhanced and inspired by their presence.
