With a mission to empower women, She Loves Tech comes back to Pakistan and this time it is bigger and better! She Loves Tech is a technology-based startup acceleration competition for women, this is the fifth time that it is being held in Pakistan with the help of CIRCLE and Pakistan’s biggest bank, Habib Bank Limited. The competition will be hosted in 13 cities that include Multan, Hyderabad, and even Gilgit Baltistan!

The competition aims to work with NGOs, along with incubators, and academic institutions all over Pakistan. Last year CIRCLE hosted the competition online only due to COVID restrictions and it was only in 10 cities. However, this time there were more than 250 applications up until now which shows how enthusiastic female entrepreneurs are to take part in the competition.
here are several other reputable organizations that are also part of this year’s “She Loves Tech” such as UNDP and HBL. However, this year too the competition will be hosted virtually which gives women a chance to take part in it from the comfort of their homes. She Loves Tech aims to reach out to over 25, 000 women this year through panel discussions, pitches, digital boot camps, and workshops.
HBL’s Chief Operating Officer, Sagheer Mufti, also commented on the occasion saying,
Women in Pakistan must have access to equal opportunities and a seat-at-the-table. Women entrepreneurs should be able to realize their dreams empowered by technology, innovation and disruptive thinking.
