U Microfinance Bank and Digitt+, a pioneer in agri-fintech, proudly unveil a transformative PKR 10 billion partnership, setting a new gold standard for financial collaborations in Pakistan’s agricultural sector.

This groundbreaking alliance harnesses Digitt+’s cutting-edge, in-house payment rails alongside U Bank’s profound lending expertise, marking the dawn of a new era for tailored financial solutions for Pakistani farmers.

Zeroing in on bolstering the efficiency of financial transactions for farmers in Kanjwani, Muzaffargarh, and DI Khan, both entities have already disbursed a commendable PKR 500 million. This initiative not only streamlines financial transactions but also empowers farmers with timely access to essential resources, thereby amplifying their productivity and economic resilience.

Ahmed Saleemi, CEO of Digitt+, emphasized, “This partnership is a testament to how fintech and traditional banking can come together to profoundly impact an industry. By combining our specialized payment solutions with the financial services of U Bank, we are setting a benchmark for others to follow in the fintech and banking sectors.”

Mr. Mohamed Essa Al Taheri, President & CEO of U Bank, affirmed, “Our alliance with Digitt+ is at the heart of our strategy to innovate and deliver value to the agricultural sector of Pakistan. The successful disbursement of the initial PKR 500 million is just the beginning. We are committed to leveraging this partnership to enhance the financial well-being of farmers across Pakistan.”

This partnership has significantly slashed payment times for farmers, enhancing their cash flow management and enabling them to reinvest in their operations promptly. Moreover, such improvements in the financial pipeline are pivotal for bolstering the growth and sustainability of the agricultural sector.

Simultaneously, both U Bank and Digitt+ are steadfast in advancing this initiative further, with the aim of expanding its impact to more regions and fulfilling the full commitment of PKR 10 billion.
