With a vast network of 800, 000 captains Careem has managed to earn a name in the market as a company that cares for the safety of its captains. Careem’s latest initiative – something they have been doing for the past 4 years – is distributing smog kits to its captains for free.
The alarming smog situation in the cities of Punjab has called for companies like Careem to take such actions. The smog seems to get worse with every passing year. The Careem smog safety kit includes a face mask, cough drops, nasal spray, and medicines that will help to combat the effects of smog. Careem has also planned to distribute windbreaker jackets to captains once the temperature gets colder.
Zeeshan Baig, Country General Manager, commented on the event saying,
“Careem was introduced with the mission of simplifying and improving lives in the regions which also include our Captains who are the backbone of what we do at Careem.”
He also added,
“It is our responsibility to not only educate them about the road-safety precautions but also provide them with all the means to ensure their safety and security.”
