Brillanz Group, a company of Pakistani origin with global offices in the UK, Portugal, USA, and UAE, took the initiative to host an unprecedented Sustainable Energy Summit at MWC Barcelona, Spain, focusing on sustainable telecom innovation and AI solutions.
This summit marks a historic moment as it’s the first time a company from Pakistan has organized such a large-scale event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona, Spain.
Participating in the summit were leading Pakistani companies including Jazz (VEON), Telenor Pakistan, Softoo Ltd, Mercurial Minds, Nokia, ZTE Pakistan, SCT, Digitization Integrators, Infralectric Pvt Ltd, and HNL, among others.
Titled “Innovate, Fund, Transform: Telecom’s Journey to a Sustainable, AI-Powered Era,” the summit has set a new standard for technology and sustainability convergence within the telecom sector, with a significant focus on AI-driven solutions.
Bilal Qureshi, CEO of Brillanz Group, a pioneer in engineering & energy solutions for the global telecom sector, emphasized the summit’s importance in driving innovative and sustainable solutions within the industry. He noted that hosting such an event at MWC Barcelona marked a historic milestone for a Pakistani company.

The introduction of Thunder, a hardware-agnostic SaaS platform, at the summit signals a shift in the telecom industry’s approach to energy efficiency, setting a benchmark for intelligent energy management.

Vohra also highlighted Telenor Pakistan’s innovative sustainability initiatives and shared a collaborative case study on Thunder’s development with Brillanz Group.
Thunder offers a revolutionary approach to energy management in the telecom sector, providing monitoring, control, analytics, prediction, and autonomous decision-making for driving energy efficiencies and reducing carbon emissions.
Telenor Pakistan has deployed Thunder across its network, resulting in significant improvements in energy management and operational efficiency.
Additionally, Mr. Awais Vohra, CTO Telenor, presented Pakistan’s first sustainability-aligned innovative business model successfully implemented at Telenor Pakistan. This pioneering low-carbon project, structured as Deferred Capex, was invested and delivered by Infralectric Pvt Ltd (A Brillanz Company), resulting in a cashflow positive model for the Telecom Industry from the onset, significantly lowering operational costs and reducing carbon emissions.
The summit featured renowned global speakers such as Emanuel Kolta, Lead Innovation at GSMA, Danial M, VP Technology Sales at Nokia, Shakil Ahmad, Senior Sales Director at Rohdes & Schwarz, Falk Schroder, MD at Detecon MEA, among others, engaging in insightful panel discussions.
