Bank Alfalah Limited, a prominent commercial bank in Pakistan, has forged an agreement with Pakistan Cables Limited to offer Supply Chain Financing to its authorized dealers.
The signing ceremony, held at Bank Alfalah’s Head Office, signifies a major step towards promoting financial inclusion in the corporate sector.
This collaboration aims to provide financing solutions tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized dealers, who often face challenges accessing affordable credit due to high interest rates and stringent collateral requirements.
Attended by officials from both organizations, including Bank Alfalah’s President and CEO, Atif Bajwa, and Pakistan Cables’ CEO, Fahd Chinoy, the ceremony underscores a commitment to addressing evolving business needs amid economic uncertainties. By offering flexible financing options, the collaboration aims to optimize cash flow management for dealers, without imposing excessive financial burdens.
As part of the partnership, Bank Alfalah will introduce short-term financing options for Pakistan Cables’ dealers, facilitating timely payments to the cable manufacturer. This initiative aims to streamline cash cycles and enhance operational efficiency by reducing the financial strain associated with outstanding receivables.
Through Bank Alfalah’s Dealer Finance product, Pakistan Cables’ dealers can access early payments, alleviating the impact of tied-up receivables on their finances. Simultaneously, this innovative approach reduces Pakistan Cables’ reliance on short-term borrowing, contributing to financial stability and growth.
Furthermore, corporate customers, dealers, and suppliers in the Small-Medium Enterprise sector can benefit from financing based on the creditworthiness of their corporate buyers/sellers, ensuring competitive rates and flexible security arrangements. Furthermore, this initiative fosters financial inclusion by providing access to formal credit from banks, supporting SMEs in navigating today’s competitive market landscape.
Farooq A Khan, Group Head Corporate, Investment, and International Business Group at Bank Alfalah, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing its role in promoting economic growth. Moreover, he stated, “We are delighted to collaborate with Pakistan Cables Limited to introduce Supply Chain Financing, demonstrating our commitment to supporting businesses and fostering economic growth. This initiative underscores our dedication to financial inclusion, ensuring that SMEs have access to the resources they need to thrive in today’s competitive market.”
