Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, Pakistan’s Former Minister for Investment & Founder, Nutshell Group, spoke at LEAP, the world’s top tech event. He praised Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s leadership and urged stronger collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for mutual growth.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, organized the Global Tech Event. It’s known as the world’s most attended tech event, with over 175,000 attendees from 183 countries, fostering global innovation.
In his keynote titled, “The Intersection of Technology, Government Policies, and Innovation,” Azfar shared insights from his public and private sector experience. He emphasized the pivotal role of technology in policy formulation and implementation.
Azfar expressed gratitude for contributing to LEAP. He highlighted LEAP’s role in fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among global leaders and innovators.
Regarding Pakistan’s youth bulge, Azfar noted the vast opportunities in digital education and finance. He highlighted Pakistan’s significant presence in the freelance industry, showcasing its technological potential.
Azfar elaborated on Pakistan’s skilled workforce and its adaptability to the global digital economy. He highlighted the country’s entrepreneurial spirit and technological advancements.
Discussing women empowerment, Azfar mentioned reserved women quota seats in the Pakistani Parliament aimed at maximizing diversity and innovation.
Azfar stressed the need for increased cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in agriculture, healthcare, and other sectors. He noted Pakistani technology firms’ interest in the Saudi Arabian market and Saudi businesses exploring ventures in Pakistan.
LEAP saw strong representation from Pakistan, indicating growing ties and shared commitment to technological progress between the two nations.
