E-commerce behemoth Alibaba teams up with Pakistan to impart cloud computing knowledge to its pupils. The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) in Mardan has a contract with Alibaba, a multinational corporation based in China.
Alibaba Cloud, the backbone of Alibaba Group’s digital technology and intelligence. They acquired a contract for providing cloud computing knowledge to Pakistani students. The arrangement stipulates that UET Mardan will have access to academic materials hosted on Alibaba’s cloud computing platform.
Cloud technology, big data, cloud security, the field of robotics and machine learning might all be included in the course. Students will also get unlimited access to cloud equipment, licences, and courses under the terms of the agreement.
The collaboration will make it feasible for UET Mardan to give students the finest training for the future. A contract termed “Alibaba Cloud Academic Empowerment Programme” was recently signed by the two sides. This intends to give students knowledge of robotics, big data, machine learning, and the use of cloud computing.
Additionally, according to this collaboration, learners will be able to apply cloud computing in real-world settings. Also receiving technological tools and industrial knowledge. Pakistan’s First Debut for Alibaba’s Logistical Services, is the inaugural occasion Alibaba has expressed interest in training students in Pakistan.

The training included participation from the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sadiq Ullah, the Dean Dr. Imran Khan, the Registrar Dr. Muhammad Alam, the Director of Finance Dr. Murtaza Ali, Dr. Abrar Ali Shah, and PS Muhammad Ismail. He added that UET Mardan “plans to develop more partnerships with foreign educational institutions that will promote excelling innovative developments” in the future.
