Chery has unveiled a new car for women, the Chery QQ Ice Cream Joyous Peach. It is covered in pastel pink and white bits and pieces, and it is placed with an artificial set of wheels. It appears to be ready for a lady’s ride.
The new Chery QQ Ice Cream Joyous Peach is old-style, though the vehicle it is based on isn’t manly either. Vehicles designed specifically for women are an intriguing sideshow of the Chinese car industry. Some car designers create unique versions of existing vehicles for women, while others develop entirely new vehicles for women.
The Chery QQ Ice Cream Joyous Peach concept car, which debuted at the 2021 Chengdu Auto Show, reviewed the Chery QQ Ice Cream Joyous Peach. It had more elaborate bumpers, larger wheels, and sidebars than the original item.
Cherry QQ Ice Cream Joyous Peach is based on the three-door, four-seat Chery QQ Ice Cream, an electric compact car provided by Chery New Energy, a subsidiary of Chery Automobile. It competes directly with the well-known Wuling Hongguang MINIEV.
Customers can choose between two battery packs: 8.8 kWh for 120 kilometers NEDC or 9.3 kWh for 170 kilometers. A single electric engine with 27 horsepower and 85 Nm provides power. Those are small batteries, but the range isn’t too bad, thanks to the car’s low control weight of 699 kg for the 8.8 kWh vehicle and 743 kilos for the 9.3 kWh vehicle. For all versions, the top speed is limited to 100 km/h. The price ranges from 39.900 yuan to 49.900 yuan (5.930 – 7.410 USD). The dimensions are 2980/1496/1637, with a wheelbase of 1290 mm.
