Web3 is, without a question, the present. The challenge is, how do we harness one of history’s largest digital transformation processes? The answer, according to nChain, is digital IDs. Specifically, enabling a digital identity that is private, safe, and allows users control over the information they share.
Web3 transition entails more than merely digitizing paper
The worldwide blockchain technology, IP licensing, and consulting services provider will be demonstrating how a scalable public utility blockchain offers a strong foundation for Web3 at GITEX Worldwide 2023 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
nChain CIO Christine Leong discusses “Unleashing data rebellion”—or, how Web3 will impact our lives—in her presentation at the Web 3.0 pavilion of the GITEX 2023 exhibition. She emphasizes that the current Web3 transition goes beyond digitizing the bits of paper that confirm our identity.
How do Web2 and Web3 differ?
“It’s similar to switching from 3G to 4G to 5G—it should be seamless,” Leong says to the audience. “While there are many terms, I think that Web3 is really about how we control and regain management of our data. The rest of the technological community, as well as speaking with many of our clients here, and seeing what’s coming up in the future to share with our colleagues.”
GITEX Global 2023 nChain: The Future Begins Here
Participating at GITEX Global 2023, the year’s largest tech show with 6,000 exhibitors and 180,000 tech executives from 180 countries, is crucial for nChain because it allows the company to “Discover what lies ahead,” Leong mentioned while on the conference sidelines.
“Having nChain at GITEX is significant because it is the center of all of the technology companies in the region, so being present here to see the changes,” Leong stated.
“Engaging with other members of the tech community, conversing with our clients, and keeping an eye on upcoming developments to share shortly with our colleagues and to understand the trends, to understand cloud, we can support the ecosystem here is very important,” Leong said in a statement.
nChain is also on display at the Web 3.0 pavilion, where BSV blockchain-powered companies such as UNISOT, Gate2Chain, Vaionex with Tegment, Elas with Manufact, Timechain Labs with payment services about Neucron, and SmartLedger’s Certihash showcase real-world blockchain solutions.
People, according to Giovanni Franzese, executive partner at nChain, are “extremely interested in understanding why we use blockchain” as well as the technology’s key use cases. He told CoinGeek that there is still some mistrust, which is why blockchain education is necessary.
